This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you visit becsbeachhouse.com.au, contact us or submit a booking enquiry.

1. Who we are

Bec’s Beach House is short-term holiday accommodation located in Surfside, New South Wales.

Bec’s Beach House (ABN 95 392 004 310) is responsible for the personal information handled under this Privacy Policy. References to “we”, “us” or “our” mean Bec’s Beach House (ABN 95 392 004 310).

  • Number and type of guests
  • Information included in your enquiry, website-chat question or owner message
  • Payment-request status and transaction references supplied by our payment provider

  • Any other information you voluntarily provide

We may also automatically receive limited technical information when you use the website, such as:

  • Browser and device type
  • Approximate location derived from an IP address
  • Pages requested
  • Date and time of access
  • Security and diagnostic information

Please do not provide sensitive information, payment card details, passport information or identification documents through the general enquiry form.

3. Why we collect personal information

We collect and use personal information to:

  • Respond to questions and booking enquiries
  • Check requested dates and guest requirements
  • Provide estimated accommodation pricing
  • Communicate with you about a possible or confirmed stay
  • Manage bookings and guest services
  • Request and verify accommodation payments
  • Maintain the security and functionality of the website
  • Prevent spam, misuse and fraudulent activity
  • Comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations
  • Resolve complaints or disputes

We aim to collect only information reasonably necessary for these purposes.

4. Booking enquiries

Submitting an enquiry does not create or confirm a booking.

Availability and pricing must be confirmed by Bec’s Beach House before a booking is accepted.

If you choose to pay a direct-booking offer, payment-card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout and are not collected or stored by this website. We receive limited payment status, amount and transaction-reference information needed to verify the payment.

The availability calendar may use booking information exported from Airbnb and Booking.com. The public website receives only unavailable date ranges and does not display guest names, booking references or private reservation details.

5. How we collect information

We may collect information:

  • Directly from you through the website enquiry form or help widget
  • When you contact us by email or telephone
  • During correspondence relating to your stay
  • Automatically through the website’s hosting, security and server systems
  • From booking platforms where necessary to manage an enquiry or reservation

Where practical, personal information is collected directly from the person concerned.

6. Service providers and disclosures

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to service providers that help us operate the website and respond to enquiries, including:

  • Cloudflare, which provides website hosting, content delivery, security and related technical services
  • Resend, which delivers booking-enquiry and website-chat notification emails
  • Stripe, which provides hosted payment processing for accepted direct-booking offers
  • Airbnb and Booking.com, where an enquiry later becomes a reservation through one of those platforms
  • Professional advisers, insurers, accountants or authorities where legally required
  • Contractors or service providers assisting with the accommodation, but only where necessary for the guest’s stay

We do not sell personal information.

Service providers may process information outside Australia. Cloudflare operates a global network, and Resend and Stripe may process service information internationally.

7. Email communications and marketing

Information provided for a booking enquiry will primarily be used to respond to that enquiry and manage related accommodation communications.

We will not add you to promotional email marketing solely because you submitted a booking enquiry unless you separately agree to receive marketing communications.

Where marketing communications are sent, you may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions or contacting us.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for:

  • Website security
  • Spam and abuse prevention
  • Session or form functionality
  • Performance and reliability

We do not knowingly use booking-enquiry information for third-party behavioural advertising.

If analytics, advertising pixels or additional tracking technologies are introduced later, this Privacy Policy and any required cookie notice will be updated.
